Two Palestinians Killed as Settler Violence Intensifies Across The West Bank

Two Palestinians were killed and several others wounded after Israeli settlers, accompanied by Israeli forces, attacked the town of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah, late Sunday. The martyrs were identified as Ahmad Adel Rashid Abu Mukh (26) and Awda Abdul Rahim Awda Farakhna (53).

Witnesses said soldiers and settlers opened fire on residents and obstructed ambulances trying to reach the wounded, while Israeli forces also fired tear gas into residential areas.

The attack was part of a wider surge in settler violence across the occupied West Bank. Hundreds of settlers entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under Israeli military protection, while attacks involving arson, shootings, theft, vandalism and damage to farmland were reported in Ramallah, Nablus, Hebron, Bethlehem, Jericho and Jenin. Palestinians say the assaults are increasingly carried out with the backing or protection of Israeli forces, fuelling displacement and settlement expansion.
