18-year-old Haitham Ezzedine Omar Hmeida was killed by Israeli occupation forces during a military raid on the village of Beitin, east of Ramallah, on Thursday night.
According to WAFA, Israeli occupation soldiers stormed the village, triggering confrontations with local residents. During the raid, Israeli forces fired live ammunition, tear gas canisters and stun grenades.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that Israeli authorities are withholding his body.
Local sources say the military incursion also caused a fire to break out in agricultural land in the centre of the village.
The killing adds to the growing number of Palestinians killed during Israeli military operations across the occupied West Bank, where raids, arrests and confrontations have intensified amid Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza.
