Zionism is Racism Motion Will Return for The Green Party’s Autumn Conference

The Green Party's  ‘Zionism is Racism’ motion is set to return at the party's Autumn Conference after failing to reach a vote during the Spring Conference.

The motion seeks to define Zionism as a racist ideology, formally establish the party as anti-Zionist, affirm support for Palestinian self-determination, and back the creation of a single democratic state across historic Palestine.

Although the motion had been prioritised for debate, it was never heard after the Spring Conference descended into procedural disputes, repeated no-confidence motions, and ‘technical delays’ that consumed the available time.

Supporters accused opponents of deliberately stalling proceedings to prevent a vote, and under Green Party rules the motion has now been carried forward for debate at the Autumn Conference.
