Yesterday (June 3rd), activists tried to erect a statue of Palestinian leader Marwan Barghouti in London’s Parliament Square (next to the statue of Nelson Mandela) but police intervened.
Barghouti, sometimes referred to as the ‘Palestinian Mandela’, has been imprisoned by Israel since 2002.
